Hi, I’m Alex

I love movement, it's one of the ways I feel most alive. I love learning about the world around me, and about myself as part of it.

I'm a yoga teacher, a dancer, and an engineer. I build a flow like an engineer, with structure. But it moves like a dancer moves, and it stays true to real yoga, not a trend version of it.

I came to yoga during a personal crisis. It gave me something to hold onto. And honestly, it blew my mind how big this world is, way more than I expected going in.

A lot of my teaching comes from the mind-body connection, both directions. I notice patterns in the body, tension, holding, and I trace how they connect to my own thoughts and behavior. I bring that same awareness into my everyday life, breathwork and other somatic practices have made me more relaxed, more confident, and more present in everything I do.

I also love moving energy through embodied movement, letting go of what no longer serves us, making room for something new. That's just what the body knows how to do, if you let it.

I've been dancing since I was three and taught dance through college. Intuitive dance is a big part of how I move, and how I think about movement.

Come practice with me. Get to know yourself a little better. Strengthen your connection to your own universe, it's taking care of you.
